Crazy to think it's been 8 weeks since CBX KIDS launched!! It always feels so wonderful when an idea goes from being just that, an idea, a thought all in the mind, to being brought to life in the here and now. I started these classes because I felt there was a space to bring a community together through our children and shared love of music, dance, performing arts and all round health. Our classes aren't just about learning new moves, or perfect poses, they are about kids coming together in a safe, fun, creative, non-judgemental environment, learning life skills. Our motto is #keepitmoving #findyourvoice It embodies the foundation of CBX KIDS and what I hope shines through in our classes!

There are so many elements to Keep it Moving. It is so important to 'Keep Moving' from infant to junior age all the way through adulthood and senior years! There are many benefits, beyond staying fit and healthy. By moving, we are able to strengthen our muscles which in turn improves stability, balance and coordination. Stretching helps to maintain muscle health and don't forget about our bones! Movement helps to keep bones durable and dense. Dancing is great for the mind too!  It releases all those 'feel good' chemicals. Oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin and endorphins. KEEP IT MOVING!

Finding your voice isn't only about singing. These vocal sessions are also about finding the confidence to speak up, express your ideas, be heard, to project your voice appropriately, as well as the many great benefits from learning the art of singing itself; tone, pitch, key, melody, breathing etc. All skills to use in everyday life, from speaking in class to performing in a school Nativity play!

Building a healthy lifestyle through healthy habits and a healthy mindset is key and a priority here at CBX KIDS. 

My heart is so full watching these kids blossom, and learning new skills every week, all whilst having fun!!
