Hi, I'm Chantelle Bernard. Founder of CBX KIDS. I am a singer/songwriter, dancer, model and mum to two daughters Eliana and Skylar. I started modelling when I was 6 years old and at 7 found my true passion in performing. Attending classes at 'Superarts Academy' in South London, I trained and honed in on my skills in all areas of dance including; street, acro, street jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap and ballet. I have been in many tv commercials and magazines and performed on many stages globally over the years for various brands. I have appeared in many music videos, including for that of artists such as Oasis and Kylie Minogue. I have also done backing vocals for various artists including; Cher (yes that Cher!) and Jahmene Douglas as well as others. At 21 years old I was signed to Sony records as part of my band Six D, releasing our Top 40 debut single 'Best Damn Night' and B-Side '2 Seconds' where we auditioned for junior dancers to feature in our music video. (Some were from my old dancing school!) We toured many schools all over the UK, Scotland and Wales hosting dance and singing workshops and performing.
We also toured all over the country as supporting artists for the likes of JLS and The Saturdays on Arena and Theatre tours, including performing at London's 02 Arena, whilst performing at many other shows and festivals such as, 'T4 on the Beach' and 'Leeds Party in the Park'. We travelled back and forth to LA and Miami working with producers, songwriters, directors and choreographers who work with artists such as; Usher, Beyonce, Brandy, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown and got the most incredible opportunity to work with Colin Tilley, legendary director who is responsible for a host of phenomenal music videos for many artists including; DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Halsey and Justin Bieber to name a few. During this time we met and worked with Lauriann Gibson- infamous choreographer responsible for Lady Gaga and Beyonce's iconic "Telephone" music video as well as many more. We appeared on her tv show "The Dance Scene'" on channel E! and I learned so much from her exceptional choreographic and directional skills from working closely with her and her amazing team, all of which are a part of the skills, experience and knowledge I have to offer.

After taking some time out of the performing industry to spend time with and raise my girls, I decided it was time to give back. To bring all of the knowledge and experience I have collected over 2 decades and pass it on. What better way than to teach?!
I started CBX KIDS because I felt like there was a space for bringing a community together through the love of performing arts in a safe, non-judgemental, creative environment. I gained so much from my early years as a dancer and musician. I was able to not only enhance my talent and passion for the arts but also build self- confidence, discipline and form great friendships, which I am committed to offering to the next generation. Dance and music for me is a way of life. It's all I've ever known. My mum was a dancer, singer and model and had her own dancing school in the 80's. My dad is also a musician, so I grew up in and around music and my love for it grew as I developed as a performer in my own right.
Being a mother myself now and seeing my own children learn and grow through a combined love of movement and music, I am so passionate about offering a space like that for others to thrive, not just musically and physically but mentally and emotionally too.
